Default The word for a special car maneovering

    Hi,

What is the word for when a car quickly moves among other cars, continuously moving from one side of the road to the other and taking them over?

    Hi,
There might be better terms, but a single movement is referred to as 'cut in'. Also, you can 'cut somebody up'!

We can say that a car was "weaving through the traffic".

You've had your answer, and this is just a passing comment. A car doesn't take over another car, it overtakes it. 'Taking over' is what one company does to another, or when a person takes charge of a process.

To put the other posts in context, the miscreant car weaves in and out of the traffic, and - in the process - cuts in. So everyone's right.
