For the school playground, half of it is covered while another half isn't.
- What do we call the playground which is covered?
- What do we call the playground which is not covered?

When I was at school so many years ago they were called the "sheltered" and the "open" play areas.

Right. I thought that's what Ju meant. I've never seen a roofed playground.
