Hello, teachers? What does stop riding in cars mean?
Does it mean stop driving cars or stop taking cars?
Thank you!![]()
bhaisahab teacher, I think both are OK. (stop taking cars or stop driving cars).
I fiirst read this pharase ride in cars. I usually say take cars or by car. never say ride in cars.
To stop doing something means to quit doing that thing.
So to stop riding in cars means you have decided no longer to ride in them. It does not involve driving.

I disagree. I think the message is to stop using cars altogether, not to allow for driving one, but not being a passenger. Even the driver rides in the car.
Fully agree with you SoothingDave. Driving is a form of riding in cars. I didn't express myself clearly, perhaps as a result of irritation with the earlier parts of the thread.
