Default I am visiting my parents next weekend and I will visit my parents next weekend

    What is the difference between
    1) I am visiting my parents next weekend
    2) I will visit my parents next weekend

    Please advise.

They both mean that you are going to visit your parents next weekend, #2 is less likely.

    So from tenses structure:

    1) I am visiting my parents next weekend (Future continuous tenses)
    2) I will visit my parents next weekend (? tenses)

    What tenses is this?
    Please advise.
