Dear all,
In a program about design, they are talking about the best bathrooms. They started with a bathroom in Toronto, Canada. Adesigner said about it "This bathrrom is right out of hollywood and It's got all the bells and whistles that all of us dream about"
What exactly is the meaning of "right out of Hollywood" here?
Thanks a lot.
Can it simply mean "Luxurious"??
Thanks.
"This bathroom is right out of hollywood
'right out of Hollywood' means that it could possibly be seen in Hollywood, CA. - home of many indulgent movie stars. It may mean 'over the top' - garish, overdone or luxurious.
You can use this "right out of" phrase to mean many things. It describes by referring back to something everyone knows:
This bathroom is right out of a Barbie movie.
This bathroom is right out of a magazine.

I apologize if I offended.
I meant it to imply a slum.
