What does expression - " as good as they come" mean exactly. I can make out it means something like very good.

Another expression is "as good as it gets"

That cake is as good as it gets. means: That cake is comparable to the best of cakes.

Her son in law is as good as they come means: her son in law is as good as a son in law could possibly be.

If something/someone is "as good as they come", it means there is nothing better. Example: "My friends are as good as they come! I couldn't find a better group of friends if I searched the entire world!"

Please try to give your thread a title that gives some idea of what it's about. 'Expression' tells us nothing; 'As good as it comes - meaning?' would have been far more helpful.
