    After decades of learning, I'm still unable to get rid of polonisms in my English speech and writing. I doesn't have to prove anything, but this does in my opinion.

    I don't think it's possible for an adult person to learn to use a new language as its native speakers do, unless the laguage is very similar to the person's L1.
