The answer is D but I think it should be A. Do you think D is better than A
If the exercise is to choose which of A - D means roughly the same as 2, either A, B or D is correct.
A is not so good because the usual phrase is "prefer X to Y", not "prefer X than Y"
B is a mess.
D is also a dog's breakfast. I'd find it hard to choose any of them, but maybe I'd tick A.
