I feel ashamed or I shame myself
Hi,
Which is correct? I feel ashamed or I shame myself?
If both, which is used more often?
Thanks,
Nada

I feel ashamed.
You can also say, "I'm ashamed of myself", but no one ever says, "I shame myself".
Occasionally, you might see, "I have brought shame (up)on myself", but that would tend to be in an historical novel or something similar.
