Hello!
I'm trying to find the translation for the French word "récupérer" in the following context:
"In order to "récupérerer"( get back?) the cancelled lessons, we could plan 2 others for next week".
Can someone help me?
Cheers
Will

I believe the usual translation would be "recover". In the context of your example I would probably use "make up for".

I'd say 'make up' too, or 'catch up the time lost'.

PS There's also the word 'recoup', whose apparent similarity to 'recuperate' [sic - no O] is purely accidental.

Using a good old Anglo-Saxon root that the Parser would love, as well as I, I would suggest a "make-up" lesson (no, not related to cosmetics). Or what Murray said.
