    Default Re: immigrate vs emigrate

    Hi Nathan

Think of the words "import" and "export"

"Immigration" refers to people coming into a country whereas "emigration" refers to people leaving a country.

    See:
immigration - definition of immigration by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.
    and
emigration - definition of emigration by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

    Hope this helps
