I'd be thankful if you could let me know when they arrive.
I read this sentence in a grammar book by three American writers. I'd like to know whether we can use 'grateful' in place of 'thankful'.

Yes, you can. Actually, it sounds better with grateful. Thankful sounds very formal.

welecome for all in my opinion i think that we can use grateful , but here the writers use thankful ,and i think it is better than gratful, as we know we usually use grateful when someone do favour to us ,or when we feel this expression . this is my view thanks
