    Default susceptible

    Dear all,

What is the meaning of the highlighted part:

[Her story is one of triumph, and of pushing through barriers. But it is also an eye-opening lesson that even the best are susceptible to the stresses of an athlete’s life.]

It's vague that sentence. Who are the "best" I think it has a generel meaning here!

Does it mean that "Even those who can endure much can be "influenced" by the stresses of an athlete? But again what does that mean???? What is "opening" in that?!

    Thanks.

Yes, it has a general meaning, as you've guessed.
'Eye-opening' is a figurative term meaning 'enlightening', 'educating'.

Sorry, I thought I implied that your guess of "Even those who can endure much can be "influenced" by the stresses of an athlete?" was substantially correct. Which bit is left unexplained?

Sorry, I don't understand the question now. There's no "logically" in the sentence. What does what mean "logically"?
