Default people living in Tokyo is Tokyoist?

hi. I'm just wondering what you refer to those living in Tokyo.
I came across in an article "Washingtonian". I have often heard that kind of words such as "Bostonian" and "New Yorker". Is there a common way to say of people living in Tokyo? I've heard some people say "Tokyoist". Is that the one?

I've never heard a term for the inhabitants of Tokyo.

Tokyo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wikipedia says "Tokyoites." I would have guessed "Tokyians."

I have heard English speakers here in Tokyo use Tokyoites. I haven't heard Tokyoist, but rather like it.

    Not to be confused with:

    Thanks Wikipedia.
