Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. I need some help with understanding my monthly statement.

2. I don't understand how the following values are calculated.

3. A map is an/the example of a model we use in our everyday life.

With the exception of 'with' the 1st and 2nd are fine.
A map is AN example is better than 'the' which implies it is the only one.
