Which preposition is correct in this case, please? :

"Her behaviour is really strange for me/ to me."

The preposition for makes 'me' the subject of some other action:

It is strange for me to be at home again after so long abroad.

Note SD's verb: 'seems.... to me'. When you use 'is', your listeners expect a sentence like the one in my example.

There is a cliche used frequently by sports commentators: 'for me' = 'in my opinion'. So you might get something like 'For me that was a clear sending off' [=I think the player should have been sent off]

I would say "for me," but I think it could go either way.

BYU stands for Birmingham Youth University. Four large corpora are to be found at this address: http://corpus.byu.edu/. I'm not sure if other people call them BYU corpora. I call them that because I don't know a better term.
