    Question 'curly kiss'?

    Hi,
A friend said to me this refers to the action of a female in which she very quickly jerks her head (if this is the right verb for a quick movement) to get the hair hanging over her forehead off her face flirtatiously. Is that right? (Without using her hands, of course.)

(I had problem describing this action because I didn't know the right verbs, or even the right structure! How would a native speaker ask such a question?)

    Many thanks in advance!

Is that the same as 'hairflip'?

Sorry, but I have never heard that term before, and I have never tried to think of what to call the movement when it's done deliberately for a flirtatious purpose.

She tossed her head, rather than "jerked" her head.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

She shook (a wisp of) her hair off her face, maybe? (I doubt she was able to succeed in doing this though.)

I haven't met it either; but I have met the term 'kiss curl', a feature of a vintage hair style that included a single curl intentionally 'falling' down over the forehead. (I bet Ouisch can find a link for it! )
