close one's mind to/ shut one's mind to
Dear teachers,
Would you be kind tell me your opinion concerning my choice of the interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?
I closed my mind to the realities of what I proposed doing. (A. Marshall, “In Mine Own Heart”)
close/shut one’s mind to/against = shut one’s eyes to, connive at, overlook
As usual, she shut her mind to her friend’s talk and wandered back in memories – to the Vanbrughs, like herself some of the first realladies to win success on the stage.
shut one’s mind to = be deaf to, fall on deaf ear, turn a deaf ear to

shut one’s mind to = be deaf to, fall on deaf ear, turn a deaf ear to . 'Be deaf to' and 'turn a deaf ear to' are close, but 'consciously refuse to think about' is closer.
