    Default twist somebody

    Hi

    A man tells a woman about a guy called Maverick.

    Maverick and I have never exactly hit it off; he ’d have jumped at a chance to twist me.

    Does "twist" me here mean "thwart me"?

    It probably means to cheat or swindle.
