    Which phrase is correct, please?

    "Please, speak louder"/ "Please, speak more loudly".

    What I'd be more likley to say is "Could you speak up a little, please?"

    If I were coaching someone, I might say "You need to be a little louder."

    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
