Does "everything's in order" mean "everything is ok"? If so, what is the difference? (or perhaps there is no difference) Thanks

(or perhaps there is no difference) Thanks Usage of the terms can be used in completely different ways. For example: The meeting is scheduled for tomorrow. Everything's in order (meaning ready). We had a terrible storm last night, but everything is OK (meaning no damage).
