Sorry, actually, complete sentence is following:

Investing money in spoiling pets can significantly reduce one's stress level because raising pets can distract people from their worries.



In my opinion, the phrase of "spoiling pets" seemed to be described positively, but I didn't get it even though I had look through different dictionaries, which described "spoil" as a negative term.
Am I wrong or correct? T^T
It is really confusing and for this reason, I begged your helping.

I misunderstood "spoiling" as an adjective !!
I got it.
"Pamper" looks similar with "spoil". :D

I still agree with your first opinion. Spoiling pets, or spoiling children for that matter, has a negative connotation in my book. I would have written "investing money in pets" and left spoiling out.
