Default go to or move on

We went to the cages of birds.
We moved on the cages of birds.

Is it right to use ''move on '' in place of ''go to''?
I think both sentences have same meaning,What do all of you think?

    Can you give some context?
If you are looking round a zoo, for example, you might say "After seeing the monkeys we moved on/went to the aviary (bird cages)."

"Birdcage" is one word. "Cage of bird" is not natural. Even where it is not one word, we would still say "tiger cage" or "monkey cage" instead of "cage of tiger."
