    Default Do you say "get caught in a traffic accident"?

    Dear all,

    1. I got involved in a traffic accident.
    2. I got caught in a traffic accident.

    I know #1 is fine, but do you also say #2?

    I'd say 'I got held up in a traffic accident' (it was somebody else's accident which delayed me).

    You could say 'I got caught up in . . . .'
