Sentence 1 is OK although I'm not sure that I would say "to be neat". You can make your hair lok neat, you can be neatly/tidily/smartly dressed but I don't think a person can be neat by doing their hair in a certain way. If you say "She is neat" it suggests that she is very tidy at home and keeps things in order. I would probably say something like "She wears her hair neatly tied in a [ballet] bun when she goes to parties".

Note: I'm not sure what a ballet bun is. Is it different to a normal bun in the hair?

Sentence 2 is definitly too long and convoluted to sound natural.

Maybe "She wears her hair in a bun for work as it's comfortable/ it's a comfortable style".

I think it means a tight bun, as worn by ballerinas.
