My question is:
Which one is correct, June the 8th, 2011 or June 8th, 2011 and also how to use it?
Thank you.
Gabe.
In BrE, we say "The eighth of June" or "June the eighth". We generally write ,"8 June" or 8th June".
When is it correct to write "the 8th" because, I have seen that on letters?
What about on the case that I am only writing "June the 8th" without the year?
If I write "the demonstration is going to be held on June the 8th" Is it still strange?

"June 8th, 2011" or "8th June, 2011"
both senior members are 100% right. Your style is just like complicated.
And in the US, it's June 8, 2011. No "th" and the date after the month.
Even so, when reading this out loud, you might say:
June eighth
June the eighth
June eight.
I'm mostly likely to say the first.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
Thanks
