    Default word describes part time students

    Hi all,





    I have a question , Is there a word that describes " students who don't attend classes but they do take exams at this end of the semester" I heard an american say the exact word but I didn't find it in the dictionary actually I don't know how to spell it the word starts with letter b or p


    Please help out

    Haha emsr2d they could be lazy, but not necessarily. There are many universities which offer these courses to students who work full-time and do part-time studies.
    One of the terms is distance learning or distance study in opposition to "course of study with compulsory attendance" (last term was taken from DAAD's dictionary "Higher Education Terminology" English-German.

    P.S.: I'd call these students part-time students. I don't know of another word than this.

    Correspondence course
    Distance learning (course)

    I was wondering whether beast might refer to postgraduates who continue their studies and sit exams without having to attend regular classes.
