    Default monogrammed

Now there are seven armoring showrooms, all staffed by sales teams in monogrammed shirts.
    What does monogrammed mean?

    Hi Beachboy,

Monogram refers to a design combining many letters..
It refers to the print on T-shirts, which are nowadays "monogrammed", meaning have a combination of letters designed on them.

    Thanks,
    Aishwarya

It's another day of learning for me. I'd always assumed that "monogram" meant only using one letter, hence the "mono-" part! Yet several online dictionaries say that it's a motif combining one or more letters and some say two or more letters.

I don't think it's particularly strong, but I, personally, don't find it very pleasant - I am not sure why. As my remark was intended to be humorous, I did not want to take the chance of offending anybody. Possibly I was over-sensitive.
