Default Embarrasing or embarrased? thrilled or thrilling?

I'm confused to differenciate between embarrased and embarrasing.
    1. Mary, .........to win a prize, tripped when she ran upstairs. (thrilled or thrilling?)
    2. .................with the consequence of his attitude, Michael signed his resign letter.
    (Embarrasing or Embarrased?)

    1. Was Mary thrilling (active) someone, or was she thrilled (passive) by someone or something?
    2. Was Michael embarrassing (active) someone, or was he embarrassed (passive) by someone or something?

Incidentally, 'embarrass... with the consequence of his atitude' sounds rather unnatural to me.
