    Default Usage of minority and majority

    Literature remains the interest of a minority and the majority has chosen to ignore those aspects of language which , at school they were told to value highly

    Punctuation does make it more clear.

    a minority - we don't know anything about those people.
    the majority - the rest of those whose opinion is considered.
