Default I'm a little tired this morning

Does "this morning" mean both past and present? Does this sentence make sense? If it means the present, it can make sense, but "this morning" always seems to refer to past time gone by. If you are still in the morning, and this morning means the present time, it can make sense, but I'm not sure.

ex)I'm a little tired this morning.

    I agree with Afit.

What makes you think 'this morning always seems to refer to past time gone by'?

    It can be future, too:

    I'm seeing John this morning.
