They are song lyrics. We generally find that it's a waste of our time and yours to analyse song lyrics. They frequently aren't grammatical, they may not make sense and can be just strings of words put together because they rhyme or scan better than others.

Well, without asking the person who wrote the song what they meant, all we can do is guess.

If you really want to know my "translation" of those lines, here you are:

If I was attracted to one sort of person then, darling, it would be people like you.
If I only ever told the truth, you would be the truth that I would tell
In the winter or in the summer
When we go to bed (presumably to have sex)

Volcano1985 - as 5jj said, please read my earlier post (post 2). Analysing song lyrics is not a good use of your time or ours.

The only reason I gave my "translation" of the first few lines you posted, was to show how we can only guess at the meaning. My version, though my best guess at the meaning, was somewhat facetious.
