Should it be "months'" here?
Hello, everyone.
I am reading a report from the New York Times and saw this sentence a moment ago.
Brokers say prospective renters need to come prepared to close a deal on the same day — ready to write a check for thousands of dollars to cover
the first and last month’s rent, and the broker’s fee.
The writer here is obviously referring to two months. Should we say the first and last months' rent instead?
Many thanks
Richard
