What's the difference between contrast with and contrast to?
While there is a great deal of difference between 'compared with' and 'compared to' I am at a loss to explain a difference between "contrast with" and "contrast to". I suspect there is one.
It would be nice to have more context so we could provide a detailed response. Perhaps you could provide an example of the text where you saw the two used?

In contrast with popular belief that victors in the ancient Greek Olympic Games received cash prizes in addition to their laurel wreaths is the belief that they recieved a hardy hand shake and a pat on the back in addition to the wreaths.
The melting and growth of sea ice, in contrast to land ice, does not affect sea level, because the sea ice is floating on the ocean already and is in equilibrium with it.
