Hello, I would like to ask about a phrase "Mirror Medusa". What does it exactly mean? I saw a painting of a girl in a mirror reflection which was called "Mirror Medusa" and I was wondering if it is a correct relation or connection of the two words... Thank you :)

It isn't a standard phrase or idiom or anything well-known in BrE. I've had a look on Google to see if I can find the painting but I didn't get any hits at all so I guess it's not very famous.

Did the girl in the painting have long curly hair which might have looked like snakes and therefore like Medusa?

Medusa was a mythical creature. When people looked at her, they would turn into stone. But Perseus had a good idea. He took a shield with a mirror on it and looked in the mirror instead of looking directly at her while whacking her with a stick. That was the end of Medusa.

"Mirror Medusa" could be interpreted as "the reflection of Medusa in the mirror". I don't know why the painter would compare the girl to Medusa. Perhaps it was better to look at her reflection instead of looking directly at her. But why? I've done too much guessing already.
