are invited?
Hello teachers.
I've found the following:
1. How many people are invited to the party now?
I don't understand in what kind of situation this sentence is uttered.
Would you let me know the situation?
Oh, by the way, what does #1 actually mean?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.

How many people are in the situation of having received an invitation to the party?

Re: are invited?
I'd be more likely to say, "How many people have we/you invited to the party so far?"

Re: are invited?
Everyone has given several good answers.
1. How many people are invited to the party now?
Oh, by the way, what does #1 actually mean?
Answer: As of this moment, what is the exact number of people that have been invited to the party?

Re: are invited?
Thank you very much for the replies, bhaisahab, 5jj and JohnParis.
Now I see that "are invited" in the sentence actually means "have been invited."
Then, I think I can easily understand the meaning of the sentence.
Thanks a lot!!
