Please explain to me the difference between "focus" and "concentrate"
I actually do not know how to use them properly.

Examples;
1. We have plenty of time to focus on our work.
2. We have plenty of time to concentrate on our work.

They can be used interchangeably as in your examples.

Focus can be represented more along the lines of something pertaining to the eye or field of vision. "Focal point." It can also be used similarly to concentrate in that a person has chosen to narrow their attention to something more specific.

Concentrate can be represented more physically as a compounding (or grouping) of something into one. "Juice made from orange concentrate." "Concentration camp" Of course concentration also deals with a person's focused, unbroken attention.

Metaphorically speaking, I would say focus is more along the lines of "pay attention to," and slightly crosses into the border of concentrating. Concentration, to me, is more refined along the lines of "Study and don't get distracted." They're often used interchangeably.
