Question I wouldn't give your troubles to a monkey on a rock

The other day when I was watching David Letterman, he said "I wouldn't give your troubles to a monkey on a rock".

    ... what does this mean?

    Thanks.

Not really sure - never heard of that one. I can only imagine that he wouldn't give the other person's problems to anyone at all.

The IMDb give it as a personal quote on their David Letterman page: David Letterman - Biography
