Default There is he / There he is ...?

    1) There is he.

    2) There he is.

    3) There it is.

    4) There is it.

    5) There is a car.

    6) There a car is.

    7) There goes a car.

    8) There a car goes.

Which are grammatically correct and which are not?

We don't just give you answers here. Try the exercise for yourself and we'll tell you how you did.

Here's a hint though. Have you learnt about interrogative word order yet? Are there any questions in that list of statements?

Yes, I've learned that 'inversion' happens in "There is ~ " sentences

    For example:

The car is there -> There is a car (o) / There a car is. (o)

    but there are some exceptions.

    For example:

He is there -> There he is (o) / There is he (X)

    ......

    Am I right?

Also, I wonder the same rule can be applied to "Here is ~ " sentences.

After 'here' and 'there' and BE, GO and COME, we invert subject and verb when the subject is a noun, not when it is a pronoun.
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
