    Dear Teachers,

    I read about Ernest Heminway's nickname "Oinbones" in The Paris Wife by Paula McLain. I'd like to know if "Oinbones" means anything in English. Is there an allusion to this word?

    Not to me. It's strange that the book mentions it without explaining it.
