Hello,
I heard a sentence on the tv..
I have been using this parfume for four years. It still gets its way to unpleasantly suprize me..
What is the meaning of ''gets its way' ?
Thanks
so, it means perfume gets what it wanted..
This sentence does not make any sense then..I can't understand the meaning actually..
I agree. It makes no sense at all. If it's unpleasant in any way, surprising or expected, why wear it for four years?
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
"It still has a way of unpleasantly surprising me" sounds better. Still doesn't make a lot of sense.
