Onomatopeia / Sound for scolding child What's the onomatopeia / sound that you use to refer to the spanking of a child?
Like オシリぺんぺん in Japanese or "pao pao" in Spanish.

"Spank" itself is believed to have originated as an onomatopoeia. It can be used as one in Modern English too.
