Default much as they would a set of tools.

    Hi,

We typically think of women as the targets of body objectification. In fact, research by psychologist Helen Fisher found that men viewed bikini-clad women much as they would a set of tools.

What does the red part mean? Does it mean "Men viewed bikini-clad women as a set of tools?

What does "a set of tools" mean?

    Thanks a lot

Many men regard such sets as desirable. Whether they will actually use them is less important than the possession.

Fischer appears to think that men may feel this way about bikini-clad women.

It is a common sense that many men view sets as desirable?

I think that quite a few men probably think of tool sets as desirable.
