(1) It is only my opinion that "a bright mirror" does not sound "natural" to
many Americans.
(2) How about "a shining example"?
(3) And if you want a formal word:
She is my exemplar. (excellent model)

" a bright star " would also work. The concept of following a bright star is one that man (of many different faiths and cultures) associates with following something or someone good.
