"high nose" or "long nose"?
In English, do we use "high nose" or "long nose" to describe a person who has "a high-bridged nose"? If it is "long nose", how to distinguish a nose which is "high-bridged" and a nose which is actually "long" (e.g. a elephant's nose)? Thank you very much!
Re: "high nose" or "long nose"?
In AmE, "high nose" would sound like a person whose nose is placed unusually high on his face. :-) There are many ways to describe a person with an oversized nose, depending upon its particular shape....a long, thin nose, a big nose, a long, pointy nose, etc.
