boxing What is the verb for boxing? Play boxing or do boxing?
Are these correct?
I am playing / doing boxing tonight.
I used to play / do boxing 20 years ago.

Re: boxing "To box" is the verb. I am boxing tonight. We're going to watch some guys boxing. I used to box when I was younger.

Teacher Re: boxing You might hear "I'm going boxing tonight" but only in the same way we would say "I'm going swimming". What it means is "I'm going somewhere where I will box".
"To box" is the verb. Not all sports/activities can be used in this way, but this one can. Here are some more:
"To swim"
"To wrestle"
"To rock-climb"
"To skydive"
"To fence"
"To ski"
