    Default exudes a quiet confidence

    Hello,

Here is a part of a task from a textbook designed to help school leavers in this country to prepare for the state exams in English:

London-based Lawrence Bernstein is a professional speechwriter and guardian angel for those struggling with wedding scripts and jittery nerves.
'The thing that brings someone to call me is when they've been to someone else's wedding and seen it go horribly wrong,' explains Lawrence, (19) _____.

The key section gives this answer:
exudes a quiet confidence and is the sort of person who can write a script to bring the house down.

Is it possible that there is a typo and 'who' has been omitted?

Thank you for the time and help.

    Yes, it needs "who".
