singular or plural Which is correct...The company 'has' or 'have'? I read some where that even though a company is singular, but the verb thereafter must be treated as plural. I hope my question makes sense.

The question made perfect sense, and bhaisahab could answer with no problem. Your thread title was also relevant. 
I believe that the singular verb form is preferred in AmE. Perhaps an American will confirm this.Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.

Re: singular or plural Definitely in the US we would prefer the singular form of the verb.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
