Hi all,
Could anyone please tell me what the name of such shops, or the shopping style is? Have a look at the following link, please.
Welcome to Facebook
Thanks!
Well, I suppose you could only see the photo if you're a member of facebook!![]()
I see no shops, only a market. The individual places selling things are market stalls.
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
That's the word! Thanks!
I was looking up the word 'barter' when I came across 'stallholders'. The definition for 'stall' says 'a large table or a small shop with an open front from which goods are sold in a public place'. Are 'stalls' usually found in a shopping arcade?
Thank you again, for the helpful answer...
Stalls are generaly associated with markets.
There are stall-like units in many large shopping arcades and malls, but I am afraid my mind has gone bank. I just cannot think of what we call them - it may well be stalls. Let's wait to see what others have to say.

"Kiosk" is the word used for such stalls inside of an indoor shopping mall.
I'd use stall if it's open and kiosk is it closed by windows, or like a tiny shop.
