    Default do you wonders

What do you mean by "do you wonders"? This seems a weird expression, what does it exactly mean?

W: I could use an escape to the tropics.
M: A getaway would do you wonders.

Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.

    A more idiomatic version is

'A getaway would work wonders for you'.

Weird because of structure? Wonder is not a verb; it is a noun. The -s is a plural marker.

    It does you wonders.
    It does you good.
    It does you that.
    It does wonders to you.
    It does that to you.
It does not do harm to you.
